Senior Software Engineer
Our client is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build high-volume, mission-critical web applications in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. This is a hands-on role for a strong coder who works well on a team, manages priorities with ease, and serves as a trusted resource to fellow engineers and business partners.

This role is fully remote.

Senior Software Engineer Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize SQL databases, including stored procedures, with a focus on performance.
• Develop, debug, and deliver enterprise web applications, using AI coding tools daily throughout the development lifecycle.
• Deploy and run microservices and cloud-based solutions on Azure.
• Take part in an Agile Scrum environment, including requirements analysis, technical design, prototyping, coding, debugging, and testing.
• Write multi-tier components that support high-volume systems.
• Raise concerns early when requirements could lead to quality, performance, or architectural problems.
• Act as a liaison between the department manager, fellow analysts, and the business team.
• Mentor and support other engineers, sharing expertise across the team.
• Approach problems with a self-directed, action-oriented mindset.

Senior Software Engineer Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with SQL database development, including stored procedures, schema design, and performance tuning.
• 3+ years of experience deploying and running code in cloud environments, with Azure strongly preferred.
• Hands-on experience building and supporting microservices architectures.
• 5+ years of experience developing software in JavaScript, TypeScript, and/or Node.
• 3+ years of experience building web applications with the Next.js framework.
• Experience writing multi-tier components for high-volume systems.
• Experience using AI coding assistants to analyze, design, debug, and code on a daily basis.
• Proven success in fast-paced, high-energy environments, with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with outstanding troubleshooting and technical support abilities.
• Experience with infrastructure management, NoSQL databases, or additional languages such as C#, Java, or Python is a plus.
• Experience using AI agents to chain tasks and build workflows is a plus.
• Advanced degree or training in a related technical field is preferred.

Compensation: $70-$80/hr. (DOE)
