Quality Assurance Analyst
Our client is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst to help safeguard the reliability and performance of their software products. This person will pair hands-on testing with test automation and will also coach teammates on automation practices. The role suits someone who works well in a fast-moving, high-energy environment and is comfortable partnering with developers and business stakeholders.

This role is fully remote.

Quality Assurance Analyst Responsibilities

• Perform manual smoke, sanity, regression, and user acceptance testing to confirm releases meet expectations.
• Design, build, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium or Playwright.
• Coach and mentor fellow QA team members on automation testing best practices.
• Create, document, and execute test plans, test cases, and testing strategies.
• Identify, log, and track defects through resolution, working closely with development teams.
• Partner with developers and stakeholders to uphold quality standards throughout the development lifecycle.
• Prepare and maintain test data to support thorough testing coverage.
• Assess and flag risks that could affect product quality, and recommend ways to reduce them.
• Share regular testing status updates, reports, and recommendations.
• Contribute to Agile ceremonies and support ongoing process improvement efforts.

Quality Assurance Analyst Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in quality assurance or a related discipline, including both manual testing and test automation.
• Proven experience with smoke, sanity, regression, and UAT testing.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining automated scripts with Selenium or Playwright.
• Ability to mentor and guide teammates on automation approaches.
• Working knowledge of Agile methodologies and the software development life cycle.
• Solid grasp of QA and software quality assurance principles.
• Intermediate SQL skills, including querying and maintaining test data.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience using an AI coding assistant is preferred.
• Master’s degree in Information Technology or a related field is a plus.
• Certified Software Quality Engineer (CSQE) or equivalent certification is a plus.

Compensation: $24-$35/hr. (DOE)
