Release Manager / Delivery Lead
Our client is seeking an experienced Release Manager / Delivery Lead to provide cross-functional delivery leadership across a complex portfolio of healthcare initiatives. This individual will bring together product, business, technology, quality, and operational teams to create visibility across releases, dependencies, risks, and organizational readiness. The ideal candidate combines strong healthcare payer experience with Agile delivery expertise and is comfortable bringing structure, coordination, and accountability to an evolving delivery environment.

This role is fully remote. Applicants must reside in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Utah, or North Dakota. PST working hours are required.

Release Manager / Delivery Lead Responsibilities

• Lead integrated release and delivery coordination across multiple Agile teams, projects, and concurrent workstreams within a complex healthcare environment.
• Develop and maintain a consolidated 90-day release roadmap that provides visibility into planned work, active initiatives, anticipated delivery dates, dependencies, conflicts, and overall readiness.
• Partner closely with Product Owners, Delivery Managers, Scrum teams, business stakeholders, technology teams, configuration resources, quality/UAT teams, vendors, and operational partners to align delivery activities.
• Identify cross-team dependencies, competing priorities, overlapping timelines, delivery risks, and potential impediments, driving appropriate resolution or escalation.
• Coordinate end-to-end release readiness, including UAT completion, defect resolution, business approvals, training, change management, operational preparedness, and technical readiness.
• Facilitate release planning, readiness reviews, Go/No-Go discussions, and other cross-functional forums necessary to keep teams aligned and releases moving forward.
• Establish clear visibility into delivery health and provide concise reporting on milestones, upcoming releases, risks, dependencies, decisions, and actions requiring leadership attention.
• Leverage Jira and related delivery tools to improve visibility into milestones, dependencies, commitments, release status, and work in progress across teams.
• Help strengthen Agile delivery practices as the organization continues developing and maturing its cross-team operating model.
• Ensure impacted stakeholders understand upcoming releases, business impacts, timing, responsibilities, and actions required for successful implementation.
• Support post-release reviews, identify recurring delivery challenges, and recommend improvements that increase coordination, predictability, and delivery effectiveness.

Release Manager / Delivery Lead Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in release management, delivery leadership, technical project/program management, or Agile delivery, with demonstrated experience operating at a senior level.
• Significant experience in healthcare payer environments, with an understanding of the complexities involved in delivering initiatives across healthcare business and technology functions.
• Proven experience orchestrating delivery across multiple Agile teams or squads and managing a portfolio of complex, concurrent initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of Agile and Scrum practices, including experience working within organizations that are developing or maturing their Agile delivery models.
• Advanced working knowledge of Jira and an understanding of effective Agile delivery tracking, dependency management, release planning, and reporting practices.
• Demonstrated ability to create an integrated delivery view across multiple projects, releases, teams, and timelines.
• Strong experience managing dependencies, delivery risks, milestones, readiness activities, UAT coordination, and cross-functional implementation requirements.
• Ability to influence and coordinate stakeholders across product, business, operations, and technology teams without relying on direct reporting authority.
• Excellent facilitation, organization, problem-solving, and communication skills, including the ability to translate detailed delivery information into clear leadership-level reporting.
• Ability to balance detailed execution with broader portfolio visibility while operating effectively in a fast-moving and evolving environment.
• Agile and project management certifications are expected.
• Experience supporting areas such as care or case management, utilization management, payment integrity, pharmacy, appeals, clinical systems, or related healthcare functions is highly desirable.
