Project Manager
Our client is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead multiple high-impact healthcare initiatives, including a major integration effort, from kickoff through close-out. This person will partner with leaders across business and IT, keep work aligned with organizational strategy, and bring clarity to a fast-paced, ambiguous environment. The ideal candidate is a polished communicator with executive presence, strong judgment, and the ability to move comfortably between day-to-day details and senior-level conversations.

This role is fully remote. Candidates must be able to travel roughly one week per month.

Project Manager Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of multiple concurrent, complex projects, remaining accountable for quality, timelines, and budget.
• Build and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, and success metrics in Smartsheet, and track progress against them.
• Partner with business sponsors and stakeholders to define requirements and deliver solutions that support both business and technology goals.
• Present plans, status updates, and outcomes to executives, internal teams, and cross-functional partners.
• Identify and mitigate risks, issues, and scope changes early, and develop contingency plans to keep work on track.
• Support integration and transition efforts, navigating organizational complexity and building strong working relationships.
• Assemble project teams, assign responsibilities, and provide clear direction to keep deliverables moving.
• Manage project budgets and costs, and recommend ways to improve cost effectiveness.
• Follow established PMO standards and project management methodologies, and resolve conflicts promptly.
• Mentor and support the development of other project managers.

Project Manager Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive project or program management experience, leading large, concurrent projects with significant budgets and sizable cross-functional teams.
• Healthcare industry experience required, with provider-side experience strongly valued. Familiarity with Availity is highly preferred for provider-focused work. Experience in contact center and member enrollment, pharmacy, or government programs is a plus.
• A broad background managing both business and IT projects. Candidates with a heavy infrastructure or SDLC-only focus are not the best fit.
• Proficiency in Smartsheet and project management tools, with working knowledge of PMI/PMBOK principles.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Mergers and acquisitions experience preferred.
• Executive presence and excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at every level.
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment, working independently and delivering within budget, schedule, and scope.
• Strong skills in budgeting, change management, risk management, and stakeholder management.
• Bachelor’s degree in business management or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
