General Manager
Our client is seeking a General Manager to lead a manufacturing facility focused on operational excellence, employee safety, product quality, and continuous improvement. This individual will oversee all aspects of plant operations while developing high-performing teams, driving business performance, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company standards. The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with strong operational expertise, a commitment to workplace safety, and a proven ability to build collaborative, results-driven teams.
This role is on-site in Weston, Oregon.
General Manager Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership for plant operations, including production, quality assurance, maintenance, warehousing, and supply chain functions.
- Develop and mentor management teams while fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
- Drive operational performance by improving productivity, efficiency, quality, and cost management initiatives.
- Champion workplace safety programs, ensuring compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
- Oversee food safety, quality systems, and regulatory compliance to maintain high operational standards.
- Partner with corporate and regional leadership to align facility objectives with broader business strategies.
- Manage facility budgets, financial performance, and resource allocation to achieve operational goals.
- Evaluate and recommend capital projects, equipment upgrades, and process improvements that enhance productivity and safety.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration to support production planning, inventory management, shipping, and logistics operations.
- Monitor key performance indicators and implement corrective actions to drive continuous operational improvement.
General Manager Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 7+ years of progressive leadership experience within manufacturing, operations, or plant management environments.
- 5+ years of experience leading cross-functional teams across production, quality, maintenance, supply chain, warehouse, and logistics functions.
- Demonstrated success managing large-scale plant operations with responsibility for safety, quality, productivity, and financial performance.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment operations, regulatory compliance, and workplace safety programs.
- Experience developing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives that drive operational results.
- Proven ability to lead through change, influence stakeholders, and build strong relationships across all levels of an organization.
- Experience managing budgets, capital expenditures, and long-term operational planning.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team development capabilities.
Salary: $140K-$160K/year + Bonus. (DOE)
