Retail Experience Designer
Our client is seeking a Retail Experience Designer to help create innovative retail environments that strengthen brand identity and elevate the customer experience. This role partners with cross-functional teams to develop creative concepts, produce high-quality design solutions, and present ideas that bring retail spaces to life. The ideal candidate combines strong architectural and environmental design expertise with exceptional communication skills and the ability to manage multiple design initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

This role is a hybrid model in Beaverton, Oregon.

Retail Experience Designer Responsibilities

• Develop innovative retail environments, fixtures, and spatial design concepts that enhance the customer experience and support brand objectives.
• Create high-quality 3D design solutions, presentation materials, and visual concepts that clearly communicate creative vision to project stakeholders and leadership.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to refine and execute design concepts while maintaining consistency with overall brand standards.
• Apply expertise in architectural, interior, and environmental design to produce thoughtful layouts, space planning solutions, and visually compelling retail experiences.
• Balance multiple projects simultaneously while adapting to changing priorities and meeting established timelines.
• Present design concepts confidently to a variety of audiences, incorporating feedback into polished final deliverables.
• Stay informed on emerging retail, architectural, and design trends to continually introduce fresh ideas and innovative approaches.
• Organize and maintain digital design assets, files, and shared libraries to support collaboration across project teams.

Retail Experience Designer Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Environmental Design, or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of professional experience in architectural, interior, or environmental design with a portfolio demonstrating high-quality retail or experiential design work.
• Current design portfolio showcasing creative thinking, technical execution, and successful project outcomes.
• Advanced proficiency with SketchUp, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and other design or CAD software.
• Strong knowledge of architectural design principles, space planning, visual presentation, proportion, and scale.
• Experience collaborating across multidisciplinary teams while contributing to complex design initiatives.
• Excellent verbal and visual communication skills with the ability to present creative concepts to technical and non-technical audiences, including leadership.
• Understanding of current retail design trends and consumer-focused environments.
• Experience designing retail spaces, fixtures, or branded environments is preferred.
• Background supporting sportswear, footwear, lifestyle, or other consumer retail brands is a plus.

Compensation: Up to $59.15/hr. (DOE)
