Apparel Graphic Designer
Our client is seeking an Apparel Graphic Designer to create innovative and trend-driven graphics for apparel collections across sportswear and lifestyle categories. This role will focus on developing compelling graphic concepts that connect with consumers through strong storytelling, creative expression, and culturally relevant design. The ideal candidate brings a passion for graphics, an eye for emerging trends, and experience designing for apparel applications including tees, fleece, and cut-and-sew products.
This role is a hybrid model in Beaverton, Oregon.
Apparel Graphic Designer Responsibilities
- Create original graphic concepts and artwork for apparel collections including tees, fleece, and cut-and-sew products.
- Develop graphics that align with seasonal storytelling, brand direction, and consumer trends.
- Collaborate closely with design, product, and development teams throughout the product creation process.
- Translate creative direction into compelling visual designs that resonate with target consumers and market segments.
- Support the development of graphics for a variety of applications including patches, logos, prints, and screen graphics.
- Prepare graphics and design files for production while ensuring accuracy and quality standards are maintained.
- Contribute to concept presentations, mood boards, and visual storytelling materials.
- Research cultural, fashion, streetwear, and sportswear trends to inspire fresh and innovative graphic ideas.
- Incorporate feedback effectively while maintaining creative integrity and meeting project timelines.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure graphics align with garment construction, fabrication, and product intent.
- Support schematic creation and technical graphic documentation as needed throughout development.
Apparel Graphic Designer Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Apparel Design, Fine Arts, or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in graphic design within the apparel, sportswear, or streetwear industry.
- Strong portfolio showcasing apparel graphics, illustration work, and creative storytelling abilities.
- Experience designing graphics for tees, fleece, and sportswear or cut-and-sew apparel required.
- Knowledge of skateboarding, streetwear, sportswear, or youth culture aesthetics highly preferred.
- Strong illustration skills with the ability to create original, trend-forward graphic concepts.
- Experience with screen printing processes, production artwork, or technical graphic execution is a plus.
- Familiarity with developing schematics and preparing graphics for apparel production preferred.
- Strong understanding of typography, composition, color, and visual storytelling principles.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt quickly within a fast-paced creative environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with openness to feedback and creative iteration.
- Passion for graphics, innovation, and emerging trends within fashion and culture.
- Experience creating logos, patches, graphic placements, or custom artwork for apparel products is highly valued.
Compensation: Up to $37.33/hr. (DOE)
