Senior Accountant
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-faceted accounting environment and enjoys balancing technical accounting work with process improvement initiatives. This role is ideal for a collaborative professional with strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage complex financial responsibilities while partnering effectively across the organization.
This role is on-site in Albany, Oregon.
Senior Accountant Responsibilities
- Manage month-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and variance analysis.
- Oversee key accounting functions such as fixed assets, lease accounting, bank reconciliations, cash flow reporting, and assigned compliance-related activities.
- Support financial reporting, audits, and ad hoc analysis by preparing schedules, documentation, and accurate reporting deliverables.
- Partner on sales tax compliance processes, including reporting, reconciliations, exemption documentation, and related compliance support.
- Contribute to process improvements, financial systems enhancements, SOP maintenance, and ongoing strengthening of accounting controls.
Senior Accountant Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, with 5+ years of progressive accounting experience; CPA, CPA candidate, or MBA preferred.
- Strong experience with month-end close, reconciliations, financial reporting support, and ERP-based accounting environments.
- Knowledge of multi-entity accounting, sales tax compliance, fixed assets, lease accounting, inventory, or related operational accounting functions.
- Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze large data sets, investigate discrepancies, and communicate findings clearly.
- Strong attention to detail, sound problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a collaborative approach to working across teams.
Salary: $85K-$95K/year. (DOE)
