Financial Analyst (Banking)
Our client is seeking a Financial Analyst (Banking) to serve as a strategic financial partner supporting budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and performance analysis. The ideal candidate brings strong accounting and FP&A experience, sound judgment, and the ability to translate financial data into clear insights that support business decisions.

This role requires in-office training in Salem, OR with the ability to work remote from anywhere in Oregon after the initial training period. 

Financial Analyst (Banking) Responsibilities

  • Partner with business units and leadership to support forecasts, budgets, long-range financial plans, and strategic planning initiatives.
  • Build financial models, scenario analyses, and sensitivity analyses to evaluate business initiatives, investment opportunities, trends, and financial performance.
  • Develop, monitor, and report on key financial metrics, budget-to-actual results, variances, and actionable recommendations to improve efficiency and organizational performance.
  • Support internal and external audits, regulatory exam preparation, compliance documentation, and resolution of audit or compliance findings.
  • Collaborate with accounting and cross-functional teams, mentor staff as needed, and support process improvements that promote accuracy, timeliness, and continuous improvement.

Financial Analyst (Banking) Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; CPA, CMA, or CFA certification is preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, treasury, ALM, preferably within a financial institution  
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, financial institution accounting, regulatory requirements, audit support, and financial reporting.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools; experience with ERP systems, Great Plains and Power BI are both a plus.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, explain complex financial information, and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Salary: $70K-$78K/year + Bonus. (DOE)
