Staff Accountant
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join its accounting team. This role will support day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close activities, account reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in accounting principles, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

This role is a hybrid model in Beaverton, Oregon.

Staff Accountant Responsibilities

  • Assist with monthly close activities and support a timely month-end close process.
  • Prepare and post journal entries.
  • Perform monthly bank and balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Support fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules.
  • Process accounts payable transactions and vendor payments.
  • Support accounts receivable activities, including invoicing and cash application.
  • Enter and maintain accounting data across multiple business units and entities.
  • Serve as a backup for payment processing and cash management activities.
  • Maintain accounting records and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with financial reporting and special projects as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial information.

Staff Accountant Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or related accounting experience.
  • Understanding of accounting fundamentals, including debits, credits, journal entries, and reconciliations.
  • Experience supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work with spreadsheets, account reconciliations, and cash tracking schedules.
  • Experience utilizing existing formulas, reports, and accounting schedules.
  • Experience with accounting software or ERP systems preferred.

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting month-end close activities.
  • Experience preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Experience working in a multi-entity environment.
  • Exposure to cash management or treasury-related activities is a plus.

Salary: $70K-$75K/year + Bonus. (DOE)
