Payroll & HRIS Manager
Our client is seeking a strategic and relationship-focused Payroll & HRIS Manager to oversee critical payroll, HR systems, and leave administration functions within a complex multi-entity environment. This individual will excel at building partnerships across HR and Finance, driving process improvements, and leading system-related initiatives while maintaining exceptional accuracy and compliance. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with project management, communication, and stakeholder influence skills.
This role is a hybrid model in Portland, Oregon.
HR Payroll & HRIS Manager Responsibilities
- Manage multi-state payroll operations, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing.
- Lead HRIS and payroll system administration, optimization, and implementation initiatives.
- Partner closely with HR, Finance, Controllers, and operating company leaders to align processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Oversee leave of absence programs, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and a positive employee experience.
- Develop reporting, analytics, and process improvements to support business decisions and organizational growth.
HR Payroll & HRIS Manager Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience managing multi-state payroll, HRIS administration, and related compliance activities.
- Proven experience leading or supporting an HRIS and/or payroll system implementation or major system upgrade.
- Strong project management, stakeholder management, and change management skills with the ability to influence across teams.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience analyzing payroll, workforce, or HR data; reporting and analytics experience preferred.
Salary: $90K-$105K/year. (DOE)
