HR Director
Our client is seeking a dynamic and hands-on Human Resources Director to help shape the future of a growing multi-location hospitality brand. This highly visible leadership role partners closely with executive leadership to build scalable people practices, strengthen culture, and support continued expansion across multiple states. The ideal candidate is a collaborative problem-solver who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys building processes from the ground up, and is equally comfortable developing strategy and executing day-to-day HR initiatives.
This role is on-site in Portland, Oregon.
HR Director Responsibilities
- Lead and enhance HR programs, policies, and people strategies across multiple locations and states, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and growth initiatives.
- Partner with executive leadership to identify workforce challenges, develop people strategies, and implement solutions that support business performance and culture.
- Oversee core HR functions including employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, compliance, performance management, compensation, and benefits administration.
- Develop and implement scalable HR processes, training programs, and leadership development initiatives to support expansion and operational excellence.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the HR team while serving as a trusted advisor to managers and leaders across the organization.
HR Director Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required, along with 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership responsibilities, and 2+ years of HR experience within restaurant, food service, or hospitality environments.
- Experience supporting multi-state, multi-location operations with large hourly employee populations.
- Strong knowledge of employee relations, employment law, compliance, organizational development, and HR best practices.
- Demonstrated success building and improving HR processes within lean, evolving, or high-growth organizations.
- HR certification preferred, with strong leadership, communication, coaching, and executive partnership skills.
Salary: $130K-$150K/year. (DOE)
