HR Director
Our client is seeking a collaborative and strategic leader who excels at balancing organizational priorities, employee engagement, and operational effectiveness. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership while fostering a positive workplace culture, driving key initiatives, and supporting long-term organizational success through sound human resources and management practices.
This role is fully in office in The Dalles, Oregon.
HR Director Responsibilities
- Full oversight of human resources functions including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and benefits administration.
- Partner with executive leadership on organizational planning, policy development, and strategic initiatives.
- Oversee labor relations activities, contract negotiations, and compliance with employment regulations.
- Manage departmental operations, budgets, and special projects to support organizational goals and continuous improvement.
- Represent leadership in meetings, cross-functional collaborations, and community or stakeholder engagements as needed.
HR Director Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Five or more years of progressive leadership experience in human resources, public sector administration, or a related management environment.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, labor relations, personnel policies, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated success leading organizational initiatives, strategic planning efforts, and workforce development programs.
- Professional HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, IPMA-HR, or similar credential is highly desirable.
Salary: $110K-$140K/year. (DOE)
