Project Manager
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead multiple concurrent, high-value initiatives from kickoff through close-out. This person will guide cross-functional teams, keep work aligned with business strategy, and deliver on time and on budget while meeting customer expectations. The ideal candidate is a confident leader and a strong communicator who thrives in a fast-moving, collaborative environment.

This role is fully remote. Applicants must reside in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Utah, or North Dakota and be able to work PST hours.

Project Manager Responsibilities

• Own the delivery of large-scale and concurrent projects from start to finish, staying accountable for quality, timeliness, and budget.
• Build and manage detailed project plans, schedules, estimates, milestones, and success metrics, and track progress against them.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks, issues, and scope changes early, and develop contingency plans to keep projects on course.
• Assemble project teams, assign responsibilities, allocate resources, and give clear direction and support to team members.
• Present project plans, status updates, and results to leadership, internal teams, and clients.
• Partner with business sponsors and stakeholders to define requirements and implement effective solutions.
• Manage budgets and costs, and recommend ways to improve cost effectiveness.
• Apply and uphold established project management methodologies and PMO standards while staying current on industry best practices.
• Resolve problems and mediate conflicts promptly to keep deliverables moving.
• Mentor and develop other project managers.

Project Manager Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business management or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of progressive project or program management experience, including leading large-scale, concurrent projects with budgets over $1 million and teams of 10 or more.
• Working knowledge of PMI and PMBOK principles and of project management software tools.
• Project management certification strongly preferred, and PMP a strong plus.
• Prior experience in the health insurance industry, particularly within the provider space, preferred.
• Proven track record of delivering projects within budget, schedule, and requirements, and of managing variances effectively.
• Expertise in budgeting, change management, risk management, project planning, and client management.
• Exceptional leadership skills, with experience motivating multi-disciplinary teams and mentoring other project managers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a customer-focused approach and experience presenting to all levels of management.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work with sponsors and partners to implement solutions.
