Business Systems Analyst (SharePoint)
Our client is seeking a Business Systems Analyst (SharePoint) to support, enhance, and optimize enterprise applications with a strong focus on SharePoint Online and content management solutions. The ideal candidate is a collaborative and technically curious problem solver who can translate business needs into effective solutions, guide users through change, and build strong relationships across technical and functional teams.

This role is on-site in Corvallis, Oregon.

Business Systems Analyst (SharePoint) Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, enhancement, implementation, and ongoing support of SharePoint Online sites, applications, and related business solutions.
  • Partner with business stakeholders and IT teams to gather, analyze, document, and translate business requirements into functional and technical solutions.
  • Provide SharePoint expertise across document management, workflows, collaboration, permissions and security, enterprise search, and content management.
  • Facilitate cross-functional user groups to establish standards, improve user experiences, coordinate enhancement requests, and support upgrades and technical fixes.
  • Develop software requirements, configuration documentation, process documentation, and other materials supporting application development and deployment.
  • Provide day-to-day application support, troubleshooting, and guidance to users while identifying opportunities to improve existing processes and solutions.
  • Partner with training resources to develop and deliver user education for SharePoint and other business applications.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and capabilities, identify potential business applications, and provide recommendations regarding adoption and implementation.
  • Support application governance, data integrity, records management, and compliance with applicable organizational and quality requirements.
  • Promote effective collaboration across stakeholders, facilitate consensus on requirements and constraints, and help teams identify practical solutions.

Business Systems Analyst (SharePoint) Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience developing, configuring, and supporting SharePoint Online solutions.
  • Strong proficiency with SharePoint Online, Microsoft Office applications, workflow tools, document management, collaboration, security, and search functionality.
  • Experience gathering and documenting business requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, process reviews, and other discovery methods.
  • Experience documenting and improving business processes and translating business needs into software requirements and application solutions.
  • Familiarity with web-based application design and software development lifecycle methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall approaches.
  • Experience developing and delivering end-user training for new technologies, applications, or system enhancements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.
  • Associate degree in information technology, computer science, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Ability to satisfy applicable industry, regulatory, quality assurance, and work authorization requirements, including eligibility under U.S. Department of Energy regulations.
