Software Engineer
Our client is seeking a Software Engineer to develop and enhance high-volume, business-critical applications within a collaborative Agile environment. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer with strong technical problem-solving skills, a proactive approach to delivery, and the ability to build reliable solutions while collaborating effectively with engineering and business stakeholders.

This role is fully remote.

Software Engineer Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain scalable web and enterprise applications using TypeScript/JavaScript, Next.js, C#/.NET, SQL, and related technologies.
• Develop responsive, reliable application functionality using modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks and development practices.
• Design and optimize SQL solutions, including stored procedures, database structures, queries, and performance improvements.
• Participate throughout the Agile software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Translate technical and business requirements into maintainable software solutions that meet performance, scalability, and quality expectations.
• Identify potential application performance, architectural, or quality concerns and proactively recommend solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex application, database, and production issues.
• Develop and support multi-tier applications designed to handle significant transaction or data volumes.
• Collaborate with software engineers, technical stakeholders, and business partners on solution design and implementation.
• Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and development standards to promote maintainable and reliable software.
• Manage assigned development work independently, prioritize competing needs, and consistently deliver within established timelines.
• Share technical knowledge and provide guidance or mentorship to other engineers in areas of expertise.

Software Engineer Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience in enterprise or production application environments.
• Strong proficiency with TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Hands-on experience developing applications using Next.js.
• Strong SQL skills, including stored procedures, database design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Professional development experience with C#/.NET.
• Experience working with SQL Server or comparable relational database technologies.
• Experience developing multi-tier applications and supporting high-volume or business-critical systems.
• Strong understanding of software development principles, application architecture, debugging, testing, and production support.
• Experience working within Agile software development environments and contributing across the full development lifecycle.
• Ability to diagnose complex technical issues and develop practical, scalable solutions.
• Familiarity with application scalability, performance optimization, and load-balancing concepts is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and nontechnical teams.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage priorities and deliver work independently.
• Collaborative, adaptable, and self-directed approach with a willingness to share knowledge and support the development of other engineers.

Compensation: $60-$70/hr. (DOE)
