Senior Developer, Full Stack
Our client is seeking a Senior Developer, Full Stack for their US Space Systems team. This is a client-facing engineering role building data and AI-powered applications, supporting both high-impact client engagements and the ongoing evolution of internal products. The ideal candidate has deep experience across frontend and backend systems, strong architectural judgment, and comfort working across modern three-tier web application environments. This position requires an active security clearance.

This role is on-site in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Senior Developer, Full Stack Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable full-stack web applications following a clean three-tier architecture, with clearly separated presentation, service, and data layers.
• Develop component-based frontend applications using modern frameworks such as Vue or React, including state management, routing, and API integration.
• Build and maintain backend services and RESTful or GraphQL APIs that support data-driven functionality, including proper error handling, validation, and logging.
• Support API versioning and lifecycle management to ensure backward compatibility as services evolve.
• Partner with data engineering teams to integrate applications with lakehouse and data warehouse environments, supporting both real-time and batch data workflows.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and appropriate access controls are maintained within applications.
• Integrate AI and LLM-powered features into user-facing applications, working with platform teams to bring models safely into production.
• Deploy and maintain applications within AWS, using containerization and contributing to CI/CD pipelines for reliable, automated releases.
• Monitor and optimize application performance, including database queries, API response times, and frontend rendering.
• Implement authentication, authorization, and secure coding practices in line with client data protection requirements.
• Participate in vulnerability remediation efforts and uphold secure coding standards across the codebase.
• Collaborate closely with product leaders, data engineers, AI developers, and client stakeholders through design sessions, architecture reviews, and code reviews.
• Own features end-to-end, from initial design through deployment and ongoing support.

Senior Developer, Full Stack Qualifications

• Active security clearance required; Top Secret preferred, with SCI eligibility.
• 7+ years of professional full-stack development experience.
• Strong frontend development experience with modern frameworks such as Vue or React.
• Strong backend development experience using Python or a comparable language.
• Proven experience designing, building, and consuming APIs in production environments.
• Hands-on experience deploying and supporting applications in AWS.
• Advanced AWS experience, including architecture-level decision-making, strongly preferred.
• Experience designing application data models and building database interaction layers across relational or NoSQL systems.
• Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions with minimal oversight.
• Strong track record identifying and driving improvements to system architecture, developer workflows, and user experience.
• Experience integrating AI or LLM capabilities into production applications strongly preferred.
• Experience working with lakehouse or modern data warehouse architectures, and in data-intensive or analytics-driven environments, strongly preferred.

Salary: $135K-$160K/year. (DOE)
