Benefits Operations Coordinator
Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This individual will play a key role in coordinating complex onboarding and renewal processes, requiring strong communication skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with precision. The ideal candidate is proactive, customer-focused, and adept at navigating cross-functional workflows to ensure seamless execution.
This role is fully remote. Applicants must reside in Oregon, Washington, Utah, or Idaho.
Benefits Operations Coordinator Responsibilities
- Coordinate onboarding and renewal activities for large employer groups, ensuring accurate and timely processing of all required documentation.
- Review and analyze benefit plans, contract details, and customization requests to support quote preparation and implementation accuracy.
- Serve as a liaison between sales, underwriting, and internal departments to facilitate smooth communication and operational alignment.
- Manage eligibility files, enrollment data, and system configurations to ensure correct setup of group benefits and member information.
- Track and monitor onboarding and renewal timelines, resolving issues and ensuring deadlines and service expectations are consistently met.
Benefits Operations Coordinator Qualifications
- 1–2+ years of experience in health insurance, benefits administration, or a related support function.
- Strong understanding of healthcare products, terminology, and operational workflows within insurance or brokerage environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to quickly learn internal systems and tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer service orientation.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
Compensation: $27-$31/hr. (DOE)
