The ideal candidate is a collaborative people leader who is self-aware, adaptable, and comfortable balancing urgency, cost, quality, and supply continuity.

This role is on-site in McMinnville, Oregon.

Director of Procurement Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end procurement operations across raw materials, packaging, site supplies, and indirect spend, ensuring uninterrupted supply to support production goals.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a growing procurement team, setting clear expectations, driving accountability, and fostering strong cross-functional collaboration.
  • Negotiate supplier agreements, manage vendor relationships, and execute sourcing strategies that optimize cost, quality, service, and supply chain resilience.
  • Oversee procurement systems, processes, and purchasing workflows, including SAP-driven planning, lead time management, forecasting, and replenishment activities.
  • Partner closely with Operations, Quality, R&D, Finance, and Commercial teams to support new product initiatives, regulatory requirements, and continuous improvement efforts.

  • Proven experience leading procurement teams while remaining hands-on in day-to-day purchasing, supplier negotiations, and execution.
  • Strong background with ERP/procurement systems, preferably SAP, with the ability to manage purchasing workflows, reporting, and lead time planning.
  • Demonstrated success negotiating contracts, managing supplier performance, controlling costs, and mitigating supply chain risk.
  • Food, ingredient, or regulated manufacturing experience is preferred, with familiarity supporting specialized product requirements, certifications, or quality-driven sourcing environments being a plus.
