Trailer Technician
Our client is seeking a skilled Trailer Technician who takes pride in delivering high-quality repair and maintenance work while maintaining a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This individual will be hands-on, detail-oriented, and committed to diagnosing and resolving issues correctly the first time. The ideal candidate thrives in a team-oriented shop environment and values accountability, organization, and craftsmanship.
This role is on-site in Jackson, Missouri.
Trailer Technician Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial trailers in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and internal standards.
- Inspect completed work to ensure repairs fully resolve the original issue and meet quality expectations.
- Identify and communicate additional maintenance or repair needs to leadership as they arise.
- Accurately track labor time and job details using shop management or job costing systems.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while ensuring trailers are kept in good condition during service.
- Adhere to safety regulations and company protocols, including proper handling of tools, equipment, and materials.
- Support warranty processes by properly documenting and returning applicable parts.
Trailer Technician Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Hands-on experience with trailer repair, mechanical systems, or related equipment maintenance.
- Basic computer proficiency for time tracking and work order management.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with strong attention to detail.
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record preferred.
- Own tools and prior experience in carpentry or general automotive repair are a plus.
