Diesel Technician
Our client is seeking a skilled Diesel Technician who takes pride in delivering high-quality work and values being part of a dependable, team-oriented environment. This role is on-site in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
Diesel Technician Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines and related systems with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Perform preventative maintenance and inspections in accordance with manufacturer and company standards.
- Identify additional mechanical issues and communicate findings to leadership or service advisors.
- Ensure all repairs are completed correctly the first time to minimize repeat work and downtime.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while adhering to shop procedures.
Diesel Technician Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience working with diesel engines in a shop or dealership environment.
- Experience with Cummins, Detroit Diesel, or similar heavy-duty engine platforms strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with Freightliner or comparable truck systems is a plus.
- Flat-rate or commission-based work experience preferred.
- CDL preferred and ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with personal tools required.
