Business Intelligence Developer
Our client is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer who can take full ownership of enterprise reporting and transform complex data into clear, actionable insights. This role is ideal for a highly self-directed professional who thrives in a collaborative environment, can adapt to evolving technologies, and enjoys working across teams to deliver impactful data solutions.

This role follows a hybrid schedule in Tigard, OR, with a heavier onsite presence during onboarding before transitioning to a consistent two days onsite.

Business Intelligence Developer Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver interactive dashboards and reports primarily using Tableau, ensuring usability and performance.
• Build and maintain scalable data models, data sources, and reporting layers to support enterprise analytics needs.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, views, and data transformations to support efficient data pipelines and reporting.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.
• Manage BI platform environments, including content organization, permissions, and data refresh processes.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across reporting solutions and underlying data sources.
• Support integration of data from multiple sources, including databases, APIs, and flat files.
• Contribute to data governance, security, and compliance efforts, including role-based access and data standards.

Business Intelligence Developer Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics development, or data engineering-related roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Tableau for dashboard development and data visualization.
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and performance tuning.
• Experience with data modeling concepts, including star and snowflake schema design.
• Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes and tools such as Tableau Prep, Power Query, or similar technologies.
• Working knowledge of Power BI is preferred, including report development or data modeling.
• Experience working in regulated environments, with healthcare data experience considered a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Salary: $85k-$105k/year. (DOE)
