Service Technician
Our client is seeking a skilled Service Technician who takes pride in delivering high-quality mechanical work while contributing to a team-oriented, customer-focused environment. This individual will bring strong technical expertise in heavy-duty truck repair, a dependable work ethic, and a commitment to getting the job done right the first time. The ideal candidate is hands-on, safety-conscious, and motivated to support efficient, reliable service operations.

This role is on-site in Jackson, Missouri.

Service Technician Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on heavy-duty trucks in accordance with manufacturer and company standards.
• Accurately assess mechanical issues and execute repairs on engines, electrical systems, and related components.
• Complete work orders, documentation, and reporting with precision and timeliness.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while adhering to all safety protocols.
• Collaborate with service advisors and team members to ensure efficient workflow and high customer satisfaction.

Service Technician Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a truck dealership or heavy-duty repair environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience servicing diesel engines (Cummins, Detroit Diesel, or similar).
• Relevant certifications (ASE, Cummins, Detroit Diesel, or Heavy-Duty) strongly preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Valid CDL and experience working in flat-rate or commission-based environments preferred.
