Heavy Duty Diesel Service Technician

This role is on-site in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
Heavy Duty Diesel Service Technician Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on heavy-duty trucks in alignment with manufacturer and company standards.
- Accurately identify mechanical, electrical, and performance issues and complete repairs efficiently.
- Ensure all work is completed thoroughly and resolves the original concern before releasing equipment.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, including proper care of tools and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with service advisors and leadership regarding repair status and additional findings.
- Follow established processes for documenting work performed, including time tracking and job costing.
- Identify and report any additional maintenance or repair needs to support overall vehicle reliability.
Heavy Duty Diesel Service Technician Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a truck dealership or heavy-duty repair environment.
- Strong working knowledge of diesel engines and systems, with certifications (e.g., Cummins, Detroit Diesel, or ASE) preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in a shop environment.
- Possession of a valid CDL is preferred but not required.
- Experience working in a flat-rate or performance-based pay structure is a plus.
- Must have personal tools required to perform core job functions.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Demonstrated reliability, strong work ethic, and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
