Accounting Manager
Our client is seeking an Accounting Manager who thrives in fluid, project-driven environments and can quickly make sense of an unfamiliar setting. This consulting-style engagement is well suited to a self-directed, resourceful professional who excels at evaluating existing processes and recommending more efficient solutions. The ideal candidate is a hands-on collaborator who will partner closely with the financial reporting team to deliver meaningful impact from day one.

This role is fully remote. PST working hours are required.

Accounting Manager Responsibilities

• Support the financial reporting function by assisting with bank reporting, interim financial statements, and debt covenant reporting.
• Contribute to reporting across multiple legal entities.
• Evaluate existing accounting processes, ask why things are done a certain way, and recommend more efficient solutions.
• Assist with ERP and data projects, including helping implement new software as needs develop.
• Take loosely defined, project-based work and run with it independently, partnering closely with the team along the way.

Accounting Manager Qualifications

• Accounting Manager or Controller-level experience with strong financial reporting and technical accounting knowledge.
• Solid understanding of the P&L and Balance Sheet and how underlying accounting data flows into financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills, including Power Query, complex formulas, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, and pivot tables, with the ability to analyze ERP data.
• Proven ability to assess a new environment quickly, identify gaps, and determine next steps without detailed direction.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred (other Finance-related degrees acceptable), with a CPA as a strong plus and experience across varied companies and ERP systems preferred.

Compensation: $60-$80/hr. (DOE)
