Utility Operations Coordinator
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Utility Operations Coordinator to support a high-volume operations team responsible for coordinating work that supports utility infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured, fast-paced environment, enjoys working with technology, and takes pride in delivering accurate, timely work while collaborating across multiple teams. The successful candidate will be organized, proactive, and capable of managing competing priorities with minimal supervision.

This role is on-site in Wilsonville, Oregon.

Utility Operations Coordinator Responsibilities

  • Coordinate permitting activities for complex work orders by determining permit requirements, assigning tasks when appropriate, and ensuring projects remain on schedule.
  • Monitor permitting and work order progress, identify issues, and resolve or escalate concerns to support timely project completion.
  • Create, update, and manage internal work orders while maintaining a high level of accuracy and productivity in a fast-paced environment.
  • Review planned outage information, perform quality checks on affected customer lists, and communicate potential impacts to internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare and distribute required notifications to support regulatory compliance and operational requirements.
  • Develop, document, and enhance operational processes while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and consistency.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource for team members by providing guidance, training, coaching, and process support.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate scheduling and ensure operational objectives are achieved.
  • Utilize multiple software applications, including work order management systems, to support daily operations and maintain accurate records.

Utility Operations Coordinator Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3 or more years of related experience preferred.
  • Previous utility industry experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate, high-volume work.
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with professional grammar and customer service abilities.
  • Comfortable working extensively with technology and learning multiple software applications in a computer-based environment.
  • Ability to work independently while following established procedures and exercising sound judgment.
  • Working knowledge of permitting processes, utility operations, or related construction activities is preferred.
  • Familiarity with work order management systems such as Maximo, Quickbase, or similar platforms is preferred.
  • Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to operational efficiencies.
  • Dependable, adaptable, and eager to take on additional responsibilities as business needs evolve.

Compensation: $27.23/hr.
