IT Systems Engineer
Our client is seeking an IT Systems Engineer to support and enhance business-critical technology systems across a growing organization. This role serves as a key liaison between internal teams and external technology partners, helping drive system reliability, process improvements, cybersecurity initiatives, compliance efforts, and end-user support. The ideal candidate combines strong technical knowledge with excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving and operational efficiency.
This role is on-site in Redmond, Oregon.
IT Systems Engineer Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day support, administration, and optimization of enterprise business systems, ERP platforms, and related technology solutions.
- Partner with business leaders and end users to troubleshoot system issues, improve workflows, and identify opportunities for process automation and operational enhancements.
- Support system implementations, upgrades, integrations, testing activities, data management efforts, and user adoption initiatives.
- Coordinate and monitor work performed by third-party IT service providers, ensuring timely resolution of support requests and project deliverables.
- Manage and track help desk tickets, technology projects, and vendor activities to maintain service quality and accountability.
- Assist with user account administration, access controls, security permissions, and technology onboarding/offboarding processes.
- Contribute to cybersecurity initiatives by supporting security policies, best practices, risk mitigation efforts, and vulnerability awareness.
- Support compliance-related activities, including documentation, audits, certification preparation, and ongoing regulatory requirements.
- Maintain technology asset inventories, software licensing records, and equipment assignment tracking.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, procedures, workflows, and end-user training materials.
- Assist with backup, recovery, business continuity, and disaster recovery planning efforts.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure technology solutions align with organizational objectives and operational needs.
IT Systems Engineer Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience supporting IT infrastructure, enterprise systems, ERP platforms, systems administration, or related technology environments.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration, Windows operating systems, user account management, and hardware troubleshooting.
- Experience supporting enterprise business applications, ERP systems, or other business-critical software platforms.
- Working knowledge of networking fundamentals, help desk operations, and ticket management processes.
- Experience coordinating with external vendors, managed service providers, or technology partners.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity principles, access management practices, and security best practices.
- Experience supporting system implementations, upgrades, integrations, or technology improvement initiatives.
- Strong organizational, documentation, and records management skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience supporting compliance programs, regulated environments, or cybersecurity frameworks is preferred.
- Exposure to CMMC compliance requirements, certification efforts, or other security-focused regulatory frameworks is highly desirable.
- Experience working within manufacturing environments or supporting ERP platforms such as Epicor is a plus.
- Exposure to cloud-based technologies, VoIP systems, and security-focused tools is preferred.
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft certifications, or similar credentials are desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to identify process improvements and implement technology-driven efficiencies.
Salary: $80K-$90K/year + Bonus. (DOE)
