Project Manager III
Our client is seeking a seasoned Project Manager III to lead a diverse portfolio of strategic initiatives that span both operational and technical teams within a complex healthcare environment. This individual will thrive in fast-paced settings, confidently guiding medium to large-scale projects from initiation through execution while fostering alignment among cross-functional stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational discipline, exceptional communication skills, and a proven ability to independently drive projects to successful outcomes.
This role is a remote role based in Oregon. Applicants located in Washington, Nevada, and Arizona may be considered and must work PST hours.
Project Manager III Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of medium to large-scale projects with accountability for scope, timelines, budgets, and outcomes.
- Independently manage complex initiatives involving cross-functional operational and technical teams, ensuring alignment across stakeholders and business objectives.
- Facilitate project governance activities, including status reporting, risk identification, issue resolution, and executive-level communication.
- Coordinate project activities across multiple workstreams to ensure dependencies, milestones, and deliverables are effectively managed.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, schedules, dashboards, and reporting tools to provide transparency and support informed decision-making.
- Partner with business leaders, subject matter experts, and technical teams to define project objectives, requirements, and implementation strategies.
- Identify project risks and proactively implement mitigation plans to minimize disruption and support successful delivery.
- Support occasional enterprise-wide initiatives requiring collaboration across multiple departments and varying levels of organizational leadership.
- Utilize project management tools to track progress, manage resources, and maintain accurate project records.
- Foster a collaborative environment that promotes accountability, problem-solving, and continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle.
Project Manager III Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of related professional experience.
- At least 5 years of direct project management experience, with demonstrated ownership of projects from initiation through completion.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience leading information systems projects, including work on complex initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and workstreams.
- Proven experience independently managing medium and large-scale projects, with exposure to enterprise-level efforts preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience leading cross-functional teams comprised of both operational and technical resources.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience within the healthcare or managed care industry.
- Hands-on experience using Smartsheet for project planning, tracking, reporting, and coordination. Experience with Smartsheet is required for consideration.
- Experience utilizing ServiceNow within a project environment is highly desired.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage audiences at all organizational levels.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize competing demands, adapt to changing business needs, and deliver results in complex environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience preferred.
Compensation: $54-$66/hr. (DOE)
