Retail Project Manager
Our client is seeking a Retail Project Manager to lead high-impact retail initiatives from planning through execution in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role is ideal for an organized project leader who excels at coordinating cross-functional teams, managing complex timelines, and driving accountability across multiple business partners. The successful candidate will bring strong retail project management experience, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to keep strategic initiatives on track while adapting to changing priorities.
This role is a hybrid model in Beaverton, Oregon.
Retail Project Manager Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project management for retail initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.
- Build, maintain, and manage detailed workback schedules, project plans, milestones, dependencies, and critical timelines across multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including retail operations, merchandising, marketing, planning, product, finance, and other business groups to drive execution and alignment.
- Facilitate project meetings, document key decisions, monitor action items, and proactively identify and mitigate project risks.
- Prepare executive-level project updates, dashboards, and status reports while communicating progress, priorities, and potential challenges to stakeholders.
- Support the successful execution of retail programs, seasonal initiatives, product launches, and operational improvements.
- Promote project governance, accountability, and clear communication to ensure consistent execution across teams.
Retail Project Manager Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Retail Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of project or program management experience within a retail, consumer products, apparel, or similar corporate environment.
- Demonstrated success leading complex cross-functional projects involving multiple stakeholders and business functions.
- Advanced proficiency with Airtable and experience using project management tools to organize and track deliverables.
- Experience developing and managing detailed workback schedules, project timelines, and interdependent project plans.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and build relationships without direct authority.
- Experience supporting corporate retail operations and collaborating directly with store teams is highly preferred.
- Previous experience within the athletic apparel or consumer retail industry is a plus.
Compensation: Up to $51.41/hr. (DOE)
