Risk Management Systems Analyst
Our client is seeking a Risk Management Systems Analyst to support the implementation and optimization of a new enterprise risk and claims management platform. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working at the intersection of insurance operations, data quality, and business systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in system configuration, testing, reporting, and process improvement while helping ensure a smooth transition to a modern risk management environment.
This role is based in Portland, Oregon.
Risk Management Systems Analyst Responsibilities
- Support the configuration, testing, and deployment of an enterprise risk and claims management system, ensuring data integrity and operational effectiveness.
- Assist with setup and validation of insurance policy records, coverage information, claims workflows, user access, permissions, and reporting functionality.
- Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT), document findings, and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve system issues and enhancement requests.
- Serve as a liaison between business users, project teams, and external implementation partners to facilitate testing, feedback, and issue resolution.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, process guides, training materials, and user support resources.
- Review, organize, and validate insurance and claims data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency within the platform.
- Support claims administration, tracking, and reporting activities throughout the implementation period.
- Assist with preparation of renewal information, exposure data, schedules, and related reporting requirements.
- Maintain organized records of insurance policies, claims documentation, and stakeholder correspondence.
- Identify data discrepancies, process gaps, and opportunities to improve reporting and operational efficiency.
Risk Management Systems Analyst Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in insurance, risk management, finance, accounting, business analysis, or a related analytical discipline.
- Working knowledge of commercial insurance concepts, including property, casualty, claims administration, and policy management.
- Hands-on experience with Riskonnect, including policy, claims, reporting, or administrative modules, is strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting enterprise software implementations, system upgrades, user acceptance testing, or data migration initiatives.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including data cleanup, reconciliation, analysis, and reporting.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to work accurately with large datasets, spreadsheets, and structured information.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies, errors, and data quality concerns.
- Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced contract environment.
- Experience working with insurance brokers, claims administrators, adjusters, or third-party vendors is preferred.
- Exposure to utilities, energy, infrastructure, transportation, or other regulated industries is a plus.
