Project Manager
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead complex enterprise initiatives within a large, evolving organization. This individual will play a key role in driving cross-functional projects that support business transformation, operational integration, and strategic growth initiatives. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in project delivery, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and experience supporting healthcare or finance-related business functions in fast-paced, highly regulated environments.
This role is fully remote with monthly travel. Applicants must work PST hours.
Project Manager Responsibilities
- Lead large-scale, cross-functional projects from initiation through implementation, ensuring alignment with business objectives, timelines, and budget expectations.
- Manage project scope, schedules, resource plans, dependencies, and financial forecasts across multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Partner with business and technical stakeholders to drive organizational transformation efforts, including integration, affiliation, and operational change initiatives.
- Support projects involving healthcare finance functions such as actuarial operations, underwriting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, risk adjustment, financial systems, or related business processes.
- Facilitate collaboration among internal teams, external partners, and executive stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Identify project risks, issues, and interdependencies, implementing mitigation strategies to maintain delivery momentum.
- Provide regular project status reporting, executive updates, and recommendations to support informed decision-making.
- Monitor project financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance tracking.
- Establish and measure key performance indicators to evaluate project outcomes and drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure adherence to established project management methodologies, governance standards, and organizational best practices.
Project Manager Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of project management experience leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives.
- Experience supporting healthcare finance functions such as actuarial services, underwriting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, risk adjustment, revenue cycle, financial systems, or related operational areas strongly preferred.
- Experience managing projects involving enterprise financial platforms, including PeopleSoft or similar ERP systems, preferred.
- Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred; candidates with significant non-healthcare finance project experience will also be considered.
- Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, affiliations, integrations, or other large-scale business transformation initiatives preferred.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and frameworks, including PMI or PMBOK principles.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects while balancing competing priorities and stakeholder needs.
- Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and executive presentation skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, budgeting, and risk management capabilities.
- PMP certification or equivalent project management credential preferred.
- Ability and willingness to travel on a monthly basis as required.
