Senior Java Full Stack Engineer
Our client is seeking a Senior Java Full Stack Engineer to join a collaborative technology team focused on building and enhancing modern business applications. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who enjoys transforming proof-of-concepts into scalable production solutions, working across both frontend and backend technologies, and partnering closely with technical stakeholders to deliver high-impact software. Experience with emerging AI technologies and cloud-based application development is highly desirable.

This is a remote role with possibility of a changing work model dependent on project needs.

Senior Java Full Stack Engineer Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support enterprise-grade web applications using Java, Spring Boot, and modern frontend technologies.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and stakeholders to transform prototypes into scalable, production-ready solutions.
• Build and maintain responsive user interfaces using Vue.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Develop RESTful APIs, backend services, and system integrations that support complex business processes.
• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to application modernization initiatives.
• Implement automated testing strategies to ensure software quality, reliability, and maintainability.
• Support CI/CD processes, deployment automation, and cloud-based development practices.
• Troubleshoot application issues and optimize performance, scalability, and security.
• Work within Agile development teams, contributing to sprint planning, estimation, and technical design activities.
• Partner with technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver practical technology solutions.
• Mentor team members and promote engineering best practices across projects.
• Contribute to projects involving AI-enabled applications, intelligent automation, or agent orchestration technologies.

Senior Java Full Stack Engineer Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 7+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 4 years of hands-on Java development.
• Strong experience developing applications with Java and Spring Boot.
• Proven experience building modern frontend applications using Vue.js.
• Proficiency with JavaScript and/or TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and service-oriented architectures.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and software design patterns.
• Experience working with relational databases, SQL development, and data modeling concepts.
• Knowledge of ORM frameworks such as Hibernate, JPA, or similar technologies.
• Experience developing applications within AWS, Azure, or other cloud environments.
• Familiarity with Git-based source control, Agile methodologies, and modern software development practices.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both technical and business teams.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments with evolving requirements and competing priorities.

Preferred:

• Experience developing or integrating AI-powered applications, machine learning solutions, or agent-based platforms.
• Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized application deployment.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using modern DevOps tools.
• Exposure to Node.js, Python, C#, or other backend technologies.
• Experience with event-driven architectures, messaging platforms, or enterprise integrations.
• Previous consulting or client-facing software engineering experience.
• Experience troubleshooting performance issues and optimizing application scalability.
