This role focuses on creating KPI-driven dashboard strategies, scorecards, wireframes, and reporting specifications that support operational leadership, compliance oversight, and business optimization initiatives. The ideal candidate brings deep experience designing healthcare performance reporting for executive audiences, translating operational and regulatory metrics into compelling visual stories, and partnering with stakeholders to define reporting requirements that drive informed decision-making.

This role is fully remote. Applicants must reside on Oregon, Washington, Idaho, or Utah.

Healthcare Operations Report Designer Responsibilities

  • Design executive-level KPI dashboards, scorecards, and reporting frameworks that communicate healthcare operational, quality, compliance, and performance metrics to leadership teams.
  • Develop reporting wireframes, dashboard mockups, and visualization specifications that align with organizational goals and support strategic decision-making.
  • Gather, document, and validate detailed business and reporting requirements from clinical, operational, quality, compliance, and executive stakeholders.
  • Translate complex healthcare operational and regulatory data into intuitive visualizations that support leadership reviews, operating reviews, and compliance reporting.
  • Define KPI methodologies, metric calculations, business rules, and reporting standards to ensure consistency and accuracy across reporting initiatives.
  • Partner with operational leaders to establish meaningful performance measures and reporting structures that cascade from supervisor-level reporting through executive leadership.
  • Collaborate with reporting and analytics teams by delivering comprehensive design documentation and visualization requirements for report development and implementation.
  • Facilitate stakeholder workshops and working sessions to identify reporting needs, clarify requirements, and align reporting priorities across multiple business functions.
  • Review completed dashboards and reporting solutions to ensure alignment with approved designs, business requirements, and user expectations.
  • Support reporting governance efforts by promoting visualization standards, data storytelling best practices, and consistent KPI definitions across the organization.
  • Present dashboard concepts, reporting strategies, and performance insights to executive leadership and non-technical stakeholders.

Healthcare Operations Report Designer Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience designing healthcare operational reporting, KPI dashboards, scorecards, or business intelligence solutions within a healthcare organization, health plan, payer, or managed care environment.
  • Demonstrated experience creating executive-level healthcare KPI reporting and presenting operational performance metrics to senior leadership audiences.
  • Strong expertise designing Tableau dashboards, visualizations, scorecards, and reporting frameworks with a focus on user experience, data storytelling, and executive consumption.
  • Proven ability to gather, document, and manage detailed business requirements for complex reporting initiatives involving multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Experience creating wireframes, mockups, dashboard specifications, and visualization standards that guide reporting development efforts.
  • Deep understanding of healthcare operational metrics, regulatory reporting, quality measures, utilization management, appeals, compliance, or performance management reporting.
  • Experience partnering with clinical, operational, quality, and compliance teams to define KPI methodologies, business rules, and reporting standards.
  • Strong understanding of data visualization principles, information design, and best practices for communicating complex information to executive audiences.
  • Experience working with enterprise data environments and healthcare data platforms, including Snowflake and large-scale reporting ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with healthcare operational systems, data sources, and reporting environments, including both modern and legacy platforms.
  • Ability to bridge business and technical teams by translating operational needs into actionable reporting requirements and design specifications.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholder groups simultaneously.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
