Senior Accountant
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Accountant who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys transforming complex financial data into meaningful business insights. This role offers the opportunity to support critical accounting, reporting, forecasting, and compliance activities while partnering with cross-functional teams to drive accurate financial results. The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting expertise with excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

This role is a hybrid model in Portland, Oregon.

Senior Accountant Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and financial analysis.
• Prepare and review financial reports, variance analyses, forecasts, and management reporting packages.
• Support SEC reporting, regulatory filings, SOX compliance activities, and internal and external audits.
• Manage specialized accounting processes, including investment, reserve, and joint venture-related transactions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to improve reporting accuracy, support strategic planning, and meet organizational objectives.

Senior Accountant Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and active CPA certification required.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with public accounting experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, technical accounting research, and internal controls.
• Experience with ERP or financial systems such as SAP, along with advanced spreadsheet and reporting skills; BlackLine experience preferred.
• Excellent analytical, communication, project coordination, and organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

Compensation: $50-$75/hr. (DOE)
