Revenue Accounting Manager
Our client is seeking a seasoned Revenue Accounting Manager who brings sound judgment, strong cross-functional partnership skills, and a hands-on approach to complex accounting matters. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring revenue accuracy, audit readiness, and scalable accounting practices within a fast-moving, global technology environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, solutions-focused, and comfortable operating with autonomy while collaborating across teams.
This role is fully remote. Applicants located in PST time zone are preferred.
Revenue Accounting Manager Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end revenue recognition activities, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and ASC 606.
- Partner with Sales, Legal, Finance, and Operations to assess contracts and communicate accounting implications.
- Manage revenue-related month-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Perform technical accounting assessments across complex areas and maintain strong documentation and internal controls.
- Support internal and external audit activities and contribute to process improvements and special initiatives.
Revenue Accounting Manager Qualifications
- 8+ years of progressive revenue and technical accounting experience within a B2B enterprise software environment.
- 5+ years of public accounting experience (Big 4 or comparable), with a strong foundation in technical accounting.
- Deep working knowledge of ASC 606, ASC 340, and other relevant U.S. GAAP standards.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation: $140K-$170K/year. (DOE)
