Medical Billing Specialist (Remote – PST Hours)
Our client seeks a dependable and motivated individual who values strong member relationships and thrives in a dynamic remote environment. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, a solid work ethic, and a commitment to helping others while managing complex billing and claims processes.

This is a fully remote role.

Medical Billing Specialist Responsibilities

• Handle diagnostic claims, ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and proper submission to insurance companies.
• Follow up with insurance companies on unpaid and denied claims until fulfilled/resolved.
• Support the minimization of bad debt while maintaining strong member relationships.
• Provide support to members regarding billing or aging issues (no patient interaction).
• Stay updated on coding changes and regulations related to insurance claim submissions.

Medical Billing Specialist Qualifications

• 2+ years of medical billing experience involving insurance claim processing, preferably in primary or specialty care.
• Strong understanding of medical and insurance terminology; certification in medical insurance billing a plus.
• Excellent written, verbal, and impersonal communication skills with a focus on providing stellar customer service.
• Experience using multiple systems, including payer portals and EMRs.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Organized and detail oriented with strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Compensation: Up to $28/hr. (DOE)
