Staff Accountant
Our client is seeking a Staff Accountant who brings strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and a service-oriented approach to supporting day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable balancing multiple priorities while collaborating with internal teams, customers, and vendors to maintain accurate financial records and meet critical deadlines.
This role is a hybrid model in Hillsboro, Oregon.
Staff Accountant Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including invoicing, payments, reimbursements, cash application, and collections support.
- Perform bank, credit card, vendor, customer, and balance sheet reconciliations, researching and resolving discrepancies as needed.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations, schedules, variance research, and financial reporting.
- Assist with tax filings, vendor documentation, 1099 preparation, audits, purchasing processes, and other accounting compliance requirements.
- Prepare recurring reports, monitor receivables and cash activity, and support process improvements, financial analysis, and special projects.
Staff Accountant Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- Two or more years of accounting experience preferred, with exposure to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger activity, and reconciliations.
- Working knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, month-end close processes, and general accounting practices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP or accounting systems; experience with Epicor is preferred.
- Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Salary: $70K-$80K/year. (DOE)
