FP&A Analyst
Our client is seeking an FP&A Analyst who brings strong financial acumen, analytical curiosity, and the ability to quickly become a trusted partner to business and finance stakeholders. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable navigating complex financial data, and able to translate results into clear insights while managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
This role is a hybrid model in Portland, Oregon.
FP&A Analyst Responsibilities
- Support annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, monthly projections, and departmental financial planning across the P&L.
- Analyze operating expenses, budget-to-actual results, forecast variances, and financial trends to identify key business drivers.
- Prepare and maintain monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages, models, presentations, and supporting schedules.
- Partner with multiple departments and finance stakeholders to validate financial data, explain results, and provide ad hoc analysis.
- Improve forecasting and reporting processes through automation, model enhancements, and maintenance of standard operating procedures.
FP&A Analyst Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field with 2+ years of FP&A, financial analysis, or relevant accounting experience.
- Strong budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and P&L experience, with retail or consumer products industry experience strongly preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills with experience working with large datasets and financial models; Power Query and Power Pivot experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with financial planning, ERP, and reporting tools; familiarity with Dynamics 365, OneStream, Power BI, or comparable systems is a plus.
- Strong communication, business partnering, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to learn quickly and work independently.
Compensation: $35/hr.
