Senior Software Engineer
Our client is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a collaborative technology team responsible for developing and enhancing high-volume, mission-critical web applications. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys hands-on software development, solving complex technical challenges, mentoring peers, and delivering scalable solutions in a fast-paced Agile environment.

This role is fully remote.

Senior Software Engineer Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise web applications using C#, ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework Core, RESTful Web APIs, and SQL Server.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, technical design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Develop scalable, high-performance, multi-tier applications that support business-critical operations and large user volumes.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Identify potential performance, scalability, and architectural concerns early in the development process and recommend effective solutions.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve complex application and system issues while maintaining high standards for code quality.
• Contribute to technical design discussions and help define best practices, coding standards, and application architecture.
• Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, standups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
• Mentor and support fellow software engineers by sharing technical expertise and promoting continuous improvement.
• Prioritize multiple development initiatives while consistently delivering high-quality solutions on schedule.

Senior Software Engineer Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software development experience using C# and the .NET platform.
• Strong experience developing web applications with ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework Core, RESTful Web APIs, and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience building high-volume, multi-tier enterprise applications with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Experience working within Agile Scrum software development environments.
• Proficiency designing, developing, debugging, and supporting enterprise-level software applications.
• Experience with ASP.NET MVC is preferred.
• Experience with AngularJS or a comparable modern JavaScript framework is preferred.
• Familiarity with load balancing technologies and scalable application architectures is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred; advanced technical education or certifications are a plus.

Compensation: $70-$80/hr. (DOE)
