Wireless Network Engineer
Our client is seeking a Wireless Network Engineer to join a high-performing enterprise infrastructure team responsible for designing, deploying, and optimizing secure wireless networks across a large global environment. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who thrives on solving complex networking challenges, driving infrastructure improvements, and partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-performance wireless connectivity.

This role is on-site in Beaverton, Oregon.

Wireless Network Engineer Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize enterprise wireless network solutions across diverse business locations, ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performing connectivity.
• Lead wireless infrastructure initiatives from planning and architecture through deployment, validation, and ongoing optimization.
• Configure and support Cisco wireless technologies, including Cisco ISE, to manage authentication, access control, AAA services, and enterprise wireless security.
• Perform wireless design, RF analysis, site surveys, and performance tuning using Ekahau and other industry-standard tools to improve coverage and user experience.
• Deploy and manage wireless monitoring and analytics platforms, proactively identifying performance issues and recommending improvements.
• Troubleshoot complex wireless networking issues, serving as a senior technical escalation resource while coordinating with Cisco TAC and managing hardware replacement cases when needed.
• Partner with infrastructure, security, and business teams to implement best practices, standardize wireless operations, and support enterprise technology initiatives.
• Maintain technical documentation, contribute to process improvements, and share knowledge with team members to strengthen overall operational excellence.

Wireless Network Engineer Qualifications

• 8+ years of wireless network engineering experience supporting large-scale enterprise environments.
• Current CWNA certification required; CWSP, CWDP, CCNP Wireless, ECSE, or other advanced wireless certifications are highly preferred.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Cisco wireless technologies, including AireOS, IOS-XE, Catalyst Center, Prime Infrastructure, and Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE).
• Strong knowledge of enterprise wireless authentication, RADIUS, AAA, network security, DNS, DHCP, and access layer switching.
• Advanced experience using Ekahau for predictive wireless design, active surveys, RF validation, and network optimization.
• Experience deploying and supporting wireless client monitoring platforms such as NetAlly or comparable solutions for performance analysis and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow, Jira, and Cisco TAC/RMA processes for incident management and hardware support.
• Proven ability to lead complex wireless infrastructure projects while effectively communicating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and organizational skills with the ability to mentor teammates and contribute within a small, highly collaborative engineering team.
• Ability to conduct on-site wireless surveys and assessments, including extended periods of walking as required.

Compensation: Up to $63.33/hr. (DOE)
