Senior Leave of Absence Specialist
Our client is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Senior Leave of Absence Specialist to support employees through complex leave and accommodation processes in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment. This role requires a strong communicator who can balance empathy, professionalism, and compliance while managing sensitive employee matters with discretion. The ideal candidate is organized, service-focused, and confident navigating multi-state leave programs, cross-functional collaboration, and evolving regulations.
This role is on-site in Portland, OR; Lake Oswego, OR; Medford, OR; Tacoma, WA; Seattle, WA; or Phoenix, Arizona.
Senior Leave of Absence Specialist Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee leave and accommodation inquiries.
- Manage and coordinate leave cases while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
- Partner with vendors, payroll, HR, and leadership to support accurate leave administration and benefits continuation.
- Maintain accurate case documentation, reporting, and records within HRIS and leave management systems.
- Provide timely communication, guidance, and support throughout the employee leave process.
Senior Leave of Absence Specialist Qualifications
- 4+ years of direct leave of absence administration experience.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state leave regulations, including FMLA and ADA.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience with HRIS or leave tracking systems and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Compensation: $26-$35/hr. (DOE)
