Digital Merchandising Manager – Footwear
Our client is seeking a Digital Merchandising Manager – Footwear to support digital merchandising strategy and execution across a global marketplace. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in merchandising or buying within the footwear or sporting goods industry who can balance data-driven decision-making with a keen understanding of consumer trends. The ideal candidate brings a thoughtful, hands-on approach to assortment planning and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
This role is a hybrid model in Beaverton, Oregon.
Digital Merchandising Manager Responsibilities
- Drive digital merchandising execution for footwear categories, including assortment planning and product storytelling across key markets.
- Analyze sales performance, consumer behavior, and inventory data to inform merchandising decisions and optimize business outcomes.
- Build and refine product assortments that reflect regional consumer preferences, market trends, and seasonal strategies.
- Partner closely with cross-functional teams, including planning, marketing, and product, to align on go-to-market strategies and execution.
- Monitor KPIs and business performance, identifying opportunities to improve sales, inventory efficiency, and consumer engagement.
- Support seasonal planning cycles and contribute to longer-term merchandising strategies through data insights and trend analysis.
- Ensure assortments maintain a balance between global consistency and localized relevance.
Digital Merchandising Manager Qualifications
- 5–10 years of experience in merchandising, buying, or product-related roles within the footwear or sporting goods industry.
- Proven experience building assortments and making product selection decisions based on consumer insights and business data.
- Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel proficiency and the ability to translate data into actionable strategies.
- Solid understanding of retail and digital commerce KPIs, including sales, margin, and inventory performance.
- Ability to operate effectively in a cross-functional environment, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume retail or e-commerce environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Familiarity with global markets or regional merchandising strategies is a plus.
- Passion for footwear, sporting goods, and consumer trends is highly preferred.
Compensation: Up to $43.33/hr. (DOE)
