Senior Accountant
Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant who thrives in a hands-on accounting environment and enjoys supporting the financial health of a collaborative organization. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who combines strong technical accounting expertise with analytical problem-solving, sound judgment, and the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced setting.

This role is onsite in Vancouver, Washington.

Senior Accountant Responsibilities

• Lead month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
• Review and support accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and other daily accounting transactions to ensure accuracy.
• Assist with audit preparation, financial reporting, and compliance-related activities.
• Perform detailed account analysis and reconciliations while maintaining accurate financial records.
• Contribute to process improvements and support special accounting and finance projects as needed.

Senior Accountant Qualifications

• Associate's degree with 5+ years of accounting experience or a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong hands-on accounting experience with month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables, lookup functions, and data analysis.
• Experience working with ERP systems; Microsoft GP, Dynamics AX, or Dynamics 365 experience is preferred.
• Public sector or nonprofit accounting experience is a plus, along with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities with accuracy.

Compensation: $40-$50/hr. (DOE)
