Staff Accountant
Our client is seeking a collaborative and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join a growing finance team in a dynamic, team-focused environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys building relationships across the organization, improving processes, and contributing beyond day-to-day accounting responsibilities. The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, analytical, customer-service minded, and eager to grow into a more senior-level accounting role while helping drive operational efficiencies.

This role is a hybrid model in Tigard, Oregon.

Staff Accountant Responsibilities

  • Support the month-end close process, including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, and preparation of accurate financial statements.
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable activities while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency through automation and streamlined processes.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, KPI tracking, and ad hoc financial analysis to support business decisions.
  • Partner with leaders across multiple departments to provide financial insights, reporting, and exceptional internal customer service.
  • Contribute to continuous process improvements by leveraging technology, enhancing reporting capabilities, and supporting future system and workflow enhancements.

Staff Accountant Qualifications

  • 3+ years of full-cycle accounting experience with strong knowledge of general ledger, reconciliations, financial reporting, and month-end close.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent professional accounting experience preferred.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including functions such as SUMIFS, XLOOKUP, reporting, and data analysis.
  • Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting systems, with the ability to quickly learn new financial technologies and ERP platforms.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a collaborative approach, intellectual curiosity, and a passion for continuous improvement.

Salary: $75K-$80K/year. (DOE)
