Financial Analyst
Our banking client is seeking a Financial Analyst to serve as a strategic financial partner supporting budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and performance analysis. The ideal candidate brings strong accounting and FP&A experience, sound judgment, and the ability to translate financial data into clear insights that support business decisions.
This role is a hybrid model based in the Willamette Valley of Oregon. Occasional in-office meetings are required, candidates must currently live in the State of Oregon.
Financial Analyst Responsibilities
- Partner with business units and leadership to support forecasts, budgets, long-range financial plans, and strategic planning initiatives.
- Build financial models, scenario analyses, and sensitivity analyses to evaluate business initiatives, investment opportunities, trends, and financial performance.
- Develop, monitor, and report on key financial metrics, budget-to-actual results, variances, and actionable recommendations to improve efficiency and organizational performance.
- Support internal and external audits, regulatory exam preparation, compliance documentation, and resolution of audit or compliance findings.
- Collaborate with accounting and cross-functional teams, mentor staff as needed, and support process improvements that promote accuracy, timeliness, and continuous improvement.
Financial Analyst Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; CPA, CMA, or CFA certification is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in financial planning and analysis including budgeting, forecasting, and modeling. Recent experience with a financial institution, bank, or credit union is preferred.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools. Power BI is a plus.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, explain complex financial information, and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Salary: $70K-$78K/year + Bonus. (DOE)
