Retail Inventory Analyst
Our client is seeking a Retail Inventory Analyst to play a key role in balancing supply, inventory health, and business demand within a fast-paced consumer products environment. This individual will serve as a critical planning partner across cross-functional teams, using data-driven insights to support purchasing decisions, optimize inventory flow, and ensure products are available to meet business objectives. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized, analytical professional who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys solving complex supply chain challenges.

This role is a hybrid model in Beaverton, Oregon.

Retail Inventory Analyst Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end supply and inventory planning for an assigned business segment, ensuring inventory levels align with demand forecasts and business priorities.
  • Manage purchasing execution, including purchase order creation, supply adjustments, and inventory optimization decisions to support on-time product availability.
  • Analyze inventory performance, forecasting trends, and operational metrics using reports, dashboards, and advanced Excel modeling to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams including planning, supply chain, merchandising, operations, and business stakeholders to align supply strategies and delivery expectations.
  • Proactively identify and resolve inventory or supply disruptions, escalating issues when necessary to minimize business impact.
  • Support ongoing forecasting, replenishment, and inventory health initiatives through both strategic planning and day-to-day operational execution.
  • Contribute to process improvement efforts by identifying workflow efficiencies, improving reporting tools, and enhancing planning practices.
  • Communicate inventory insights, risks, and recommendations clearly to stakeholders, translating complex data into actionable business decisions.

Retail Inventory Analyst Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in supply planning, inventory planning, demand planning, supply chain operations, or a related planning function.
  • Strong experience in forecasting, replenishment planning, inventory management, and supply chain analysis.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to work with large data sets, reporting, formulas, pivot tables, and analytical modeling.
  • Proven ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make sound business recommendations based on planning insights.
  • Experience working in ERP systems; SAP experience is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving, evolving environment with strong organizational discipline and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple business teams.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and adapting to changing business needs while maintaining executional excellence.
  • Experience in consumer products, retail, apparel, footwear, or similarly fast-paced inventory-driven environments is highly preferred.
  • Prior experience supporting large enterprise planning organizations is a plus; familiarity with complex matrixed environments is beneficial.
