Procurement Specialist (RFP & Strategic Sourcing)
Our client is seeking a hands-on Procurement Specialist to support strategic sourcing initiatives and drive end-to-end procurement execution across service-based categories. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, commercially savvy professional who thrives in stakeholder-facing environments, can confidently lead competitive sourcing events, and brings a strong balance of negotiation skill, operational discipline, and relationship management.

This role is a hybrid model in Portland, Oregon.

Procurement Specialist Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end sourcing events, including RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs, from requirements gathering through supplier selection and award recommendations.
• Partner closely with internal business stakeholders to define procurement needs, timelines, evaluation criteria, and sourcing strategies.
• Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and service-based agreements to deliver cost-effective, compliant procurement outcomes.
• Manage contract lifecycle activities, including drafting, renewals, amendments, documentation management, and audit readiness tracking.
• Serve as a key liaison for supplier communications, performance monitoring, issue resolution, and continuous procurement process improvement.

Procurement Specialist Qualifications

• 2-3+ years of direct hands-on experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, category buying, or contract management roles with procurement ownership responsibilities.
• Demonstrated experience leading RFPs/RFx events and negotiating service-based contracts in a corporate procurement environment.
• Experience partnering directly with internal stakeholders to gather business requirements and guide sourcing decisions.
• Proficiency with procurement and ERP systems, contract documentation workflows, and Microsoft Office tools.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and negotiation skills with the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive priorities accurately.

Compensation: Up to $36.44/hr. (DOE)
