Material Supply Chain Planner
Our client is seeking a Material Supply Chain Planner to own material planning and forecast health across a complex, high-volume consumer product portfolio. This role is ideal for an experienced supply or materials planning professional who can translate product demand into actionable material requirements, identify supply risks early, and bring cross-functional partners together around solutions. The ideal candidate combines strong manufacturing and planning knowledge with analytical decision-making, clear communication, and the ability to navigate change in a fast-paced environment.

This role is a hybrid model in Beaverton, Oregon.

Material Supply Chain Planner Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage material forecasts by translating assortment and finished-goods demand into actionable supply requirements across assigned product and material categories.
  • Monitor material plan health, forecast accuracy, supply readiness, and capacity constraints while identifying risks, gaps, and opportunities throughout the planning cycle.
  • Partner with sourcing, manufacturing, material development, demand planning, and supply chain teams to address availability, lead-time, capacity, and delivery risks.
  • Establish material priorities and planning strategies based on demand, service levels, segmentation, operational feasibility, and business needs.
  • Support material development and product creation by connecting material requirements with downstream manufacturing and finished-goods plans.
  • Lead seasonal and longer-range planning activities, ensuring material strategies remain aligned with key milestones and changing demand.
  • Use data, planning metrics, and business insights to evaluate performance, support recommendations, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives and planning improvements, helping teams adopt new processes, capabilities, and ways of working.
  • Communicate material risks, opportunities, priorities, and recommended actions to stakeholders and leadership with clarity and accountability.

Material Supply Chain Planner Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in supply planning, materials planning, manufacturing planning, or a closely related supply chain function.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing supply and materials planning, including demand translation, forecasting, production requirements, capacity considerations, and material availability.
  • Experience with assortment and demand planning, including ownership of forecasts and proactive identification of supply or planning risks.
  • Experience supporting material development and translating material plans into the production of finished consumer goods.
  • Background in apparel, footwear, or another consumer products environment with a large and complex SKU assortment is strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Manufacturing, Logistics, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data and performance metrics to evaluate plan health, identify trends, and support business decisions.
  • Demonstrated stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence and align cross-functional partners.
  • Experience leading projects or cross-functional initiatives and the ability to effectively support and drive organizational or process change.
  • Ability to prioritize competing needs, work effectively through ambiguity, and balance strategic planning with detailed execution.
