Strategic Sourcing Manager II (Remote)
Our client is seeking a collaborative and strategic sourcing professional with deep experience in indirect procurement who thrives in a fast-paced, relationship-driven environment. The ideal candidate brings strong negotiation and analytical skills, excels at balancing business objectives with risk management, and enjoys leading cross-functional initiatives that drive operational excellence and long-term value within a highly regulated enterprise environment.

This role is fully remote.

Strategic Sourcing Manager II Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives for complex indirect procurement categories, including technology, professional services, healthcare services, marketing, and other enterprise-wide services.
• Lead contract negotiations, competitive sourcing events, and supplier relationship management to drive business value, cost savings, and risk mitigation.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to deliver strategic procurement solutions, ensure policy compliance, and strengthen cross-functional collaboration.
• Monitor market trends, evaluate supplier capabilities, and identify opportunities for continuous process improvement, supplier performance, and operational efficiency.
• Mentor team members, promote procurement best practices, and support supplier diversity and organizational initiatives.

Strategic Sourcing Manager II Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and extensive experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management.
• Required experience leading indirect procurement initiatives for enterprise services. Candidates whose experience is primarily limited to direct procurement of physical goods will not be considered.
• Proven experience negotiating complex contracts, developing sourcing strategies, and managing enterprise supplier relationships.
• Healthcare procurement experience is strongly preferred. Candidates with indirect procurement experience in other highly regulated industries, including finance, insurance, or utilities, are also encouraged to apply.
• Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and risk management skills with the ability to influence stakeholders, manage competing priorities, and drive organizational change.
• Experience with procurement technologies, enterprise systems, and contract lifecycle management platforms. Professional procurement or supply chain certifications are a plus.
