Head of Northern California Delivery
Our client is seeking a highly strategic and technically fluent executive to lead large-scale delivery operations across a key regional portfolio. This individual will oversee complex, enterprise-level programs, drive operational excellence, and serve as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of technical depth, leadership presence, and proven success managing large consulting engagements within fast-paced, innovation-driven environments.
This role is based in San Francisco, California.
Head of Northern California Delivery Responsibilities
- Lead large, complex delivery portfolios across enterprise clients, ensuring successful execution of multi-disciplinary programs spanning engineering, data, and emerging technologies.
- Own end-to-end delivery strategy, including roadmap development, execution oversight, and alignment with executive stakeholders and client objectives.
- Provide senior-level technical leadership across architecture, software engineering, and modern delivery practices to ensure scalable, secure, and high-quality solutions.
- Drive key architectural and technology decisions, including the integration of advanced capabilities such as AI/ML to enhance performance and innovation.
- Build, mentor, and scale high-performing teams of 200+ professionals while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Establish and optimize delivery processes, standards, and best practices to improve efficiency, quality, and consistency across engagements.
- Partner closely with clients at the executive level, maintaining transparency around progress, risks, and strategic direction.
- Support business growth by contributing to pre-sales efforts, solution development, and executive-level client engagements.
Head of Northern California Delivery Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in software delivery or technology consulting, including 10+ years in senior leadership roles within professional services environments.
- Proven track record managing large-scale, enterprise delivery programs with significant revenue impact and team sizes exceeding 100+ resources.
- Strong technical foundation in software engineering, solution architecture, and modern development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid models).
- Experience working with large enterprise clients in highly complex environments (e.g., global technology organizations or similarly scaled companies).
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and align diverse stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes.
- Executive-level communication skills with the ability to influence, advise, and build relationships with senior client leadership.
- Exposure to advanced technologies such as AI/ML, data platforms, and modern digital transformation initiatives, with the ability to translate concepts into business value.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees or relevant certifications are preferred.
